I have had a break from this blog for over half a year now, come to think of it. Since then, I have learnt a great deal about photography. I have spent just about the whole time learning about photography! I have realised that I need to change my methods of posting too. (more…)

Evening sun on Wet Grass
I’m sorry I have not posted for so long. I broke my arm a few days after the last post, and since then my schedule has slackened too much.
I also had media uploading problems with an older version of WordPress. As this is a media based blog (a photoblog), it greatly impeded posting. Fantastico De Luxe, my script installer on the Bluehost cPanel, had stopped upgrading WordPress for me, and I has just switched over to Simple Scripts. This version of WordPress is so much quicker and nicer to use! (2.7.1)
Anyway, some of the pictures above were taken about the start of summer, when the days were quite long. I snapped a few photos of grass after a small shower in the red-tinted evening sunlight. It was the first time I had experimented with close ups of grass. On the same evening, I captured a young kid tasting the grass in superb natural lighting.
Another is a cropped photo of the sun coming out from behind a cloud half an hour before sunset. I also did a portrait about 6 a.m. in the early morning sun of my shadow on the dark green garage door, which, in the red sunlight, was eerily golden.
Some others include the rarely still common lizard on our lawn, a couple of photos snapped out the van window at 100 kph on the wrong camera setting, and a common Canterbury pine hedge/windbreak. Enjoy!
