We went to Kaikioura for a short holiday recently, and as Kaikoura is surrounded by sea almost all round, there was a lot of photos to be taken. These are the highlights. I aimed to capture the inside of each wave as it started to crest. I took lots of photos!

Rocks and water (The Trip, part 2)
We have been to Kaikoura recently. 3 days, dozens of photos! These are the rocky formations found all around the beaches of Kaikoura. I spent a lot of time at a few places trying to take the “perfect” shot of the wave smashing into the rocks, and also trying to capture the inside of a wave just as the white foam starts to fall over the top. The picture below is from a river which ran through Kaikoura Township and into the sea.

Castle Hill (The Trip, part 1)
We recently drove to Castle Hill Village, to try out the new Toyota Hiace. (see last blog post) I took a few photos through the purple tinted windows, and got a genuine high country look to my photos as a result. YSFlight is a good flight simulator.
